Woodstock for Capitalists - 2018

An estimated more than 40,000 shareholders descended upon Omaha for the annual meeting on May 5, 2018 with a chance to listen to Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger answer questions for five hours. As usual the meeting started with a movie which had a medley of past skits along with a new appearance by Katy Perry. It certainly seemed as crowded as I have ever seen it in the more than ten years that I have been attending in person.

Buffett and Munger covered a variety of topics including: Berkshire Hathaway first quarter earnings, accounting changes, Apple, cryptocurrencies, Wells Fargo, corporate tax cuts, China and calculating intrinsic value. For my takeaways from the meeting, please click here.
